Artist's Statement

From my initial interest in embroidery I have developed a love of textiles and mixed media, and enjoy experimenting with dyeing and manipulating fabrics.

My inspiration comes mainly from different countries and their culture - India and China being favourites.  I love the history of embroidery and using vintage fabrics as a starting point for contemporary interpretation.

I have experience in silver jewellery making and hope to combine textiles and silver to make one off pieces of wearable art.
