Artist's Statement

My work is inspired by my love of landscape and nature and of the changes caused by the passage of time-- “pleasing decay”.

I use both free machine stitching and hand stitching combined with paints, dyes, applied fabrics and handmade papers to suggest the colours and textures of the landscape.
